EQUALITY TEXAS IS LOOKING FOR A FEW GOOD MEN AND WOMEN.
If you live in or near Austin, you have a tremendous opportunity to join a dedicated team of volunteers. Some opportunities are only for special events, and some occur regularly; and whatever your committment, you are always welcome at Equality Texas!

You can help make a difference for LGBT Texans.

We are continually in need of people with any of the following skills or an interest in any of these tasks:

• Data entry and PC skills
• Filing and organizing
• Answering phones as needed
• Making signs and posters
• Fliering and distributing handbills
• Phone banking to members
• Volunteering the day of events, and helping coordinate other volunteers
• Serving on planning committees and attending planning meetings
• Advertising and promotion through fliers, handbills, and tabling
• Staffing tables at events, or canvassing
• Giving public testimony at legislative committee hearings, or lobbying public officials
• Testifying at local hearings relating to proposed changes in law or ordinance
• Graphic design, computer networking, accounting, advertising or any number of others (volunteered by either you or your business)
