Title: Regional Field Organizer

Equality Texas – the state’s leading organization solely dedicated to securing full, lived equality for all LGBTQ+ Texans – is seeking a temporary Regional Field Organizer to support and mobilize volunteer leaders, activists, and advocates as part of our Turn OUT Texas electoral campaign. The position is set to begin in June and aims to wrap up shortly after the November 2022 elections.
The ideal candidate has excellent independent judgment, has strong interpersonal and communication skills, experience with project management, a proven track record of recruiting and motivating others to invest their time into volunteer efforts and a commitment to equality for all LGBTQ+ Texans. Personal connection and knowledge about the LGBTQ+ community is preferred.
This is a newly created 40/hr per week position based in Cameron County, Texas.
This Regional Field Organizer reports to the Field Director and is based in Cameron County.

While the qualifications below describe a typical candidate, strong consideration will be granted to individuals who may not meet the listed qualifications but demonstrate strong skills, knowledge, and organizing potential.
Knowledge of LGBTQ+ policy issues is a plus but not a requirement.
Compensation for this position is negotiable and depends on experience and is highly competitive ($20/hr). Benefits include mileage reimbursement, phone reimbursements.
