The creative community is watching Texas, with love for all of its people and for its contributions to music, art, and culture. A growing number of artists are committed to doing everything within their power to make sure all of their fans, crews, and fellow artists feel safe and welcome, wherever they go.
Transgender and gender non-conforming young people are already subjected to bullying and harassment while facing higher rates of family rejection and homelessness, mental health issues and suicidality. We must not punish them for living honestly and openly.
Equality Texas Foundation programs, such as the TransVisible Project and Equality Project, educate and empower Texans on equality issues. Education and civic engagement are the foundation of our movement. The Equality Texas Foundation seeks to educate, motivate, and activate all Texans to end discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression. Through our continuous public education campaigns, we are winning hearts and minds within the state.
