Make a call?

We’re facing an onslaught of dangerous “bathroom bills” in Texas right now.

Will you make a phonecall to help stop them?

Starting tomorrow, we’re bringing our phone bank action center to Austin and Houston. We’ll be calling fair-minded Texans across the state and urging them to contact their representatives to oppose “bathroom bills”—and to join the groundswell grassroots movement to protect transgender Texans from discrimination.

But we need help from grassroots supporters like you to make these phonebanks a success. Most phonebank shifts are from 6–8 PM on weekdays, and all day on weekends from as early as 9 AM to as late as 5 PM. You can make as many or as few calls as you want—and you don’t have to be a seasoned phonebanker to make a difference, we’ll be there to coach you every step of the way.

Will you make a call? Click here to let us know where you live and a local organizer will be in touch with more information about a phonebank near you.

We only have a couple weeks left to run out the clock on these horrible bills that target transgender Texans for discrimination. So far—thanks to unprecedented levels of grassroots engagement—our resistance is working and we’ve been able to stall anti-transgender “bathroom bills.”

But Gov. Abbott and Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick are doubling-down on their discriminatory agenda and working day and night behind the scenes to force some of the most egregiously discriminatory “bathroom bills”—SB 3, HB 46, and HB 50—through the legislative process, hoping we won’t have time to react.

Making phonecalls to help alert your community about the dangers of these bills is the most powerful action you can take to ensure they don’t pass. And what better place to do it than side-by-side with dozens of other grassroots advocates?

We’re in this together.
